When the city is at its hottest, there is no better place to spend an afternoon than inside one of Milan's most beautiful museums. Gallerie d'Italia, set in a magnificent palazzo on Piazza della Scala, is hosting a temporary exhibition dedicated to Arnaldo Pomodoro, and we are going to see it together.
Many of us already know his work without realising it. His great bronze spheres, cracked open to reveal the intricate workings inside, have become part of the visual language of Milan and stand in some of the city's most recognisable spaces.
The exhibition is a chance to understand the artist behind them and to see his vision gathered in one…
